Who may benefit from an assessment?

Massage is generally low risk, but screening helps adjust pressure and avoid areas or conditions where massage may be unsuitable.

  • 01

    Seeking a relaxing facial experience

  • 02

No open wound, infection or acute inflammation

  • 03

Understanding the limits of appearance-related effects

General health information

Assessment and massage planning

The approach should consider skin, product sensitivity, areas of concern, comfort and recent facial procedures, individual comfort and relevant precautions.

01 — Understand your goal

Discuss the desired experience, areas of concern and previous massage experience.

02 — Screen precautions

Review health, medicines, pregnancy, injury, skin and recent procedures.

03 — Adjust and communicate

Choose suitable techniques and pressure, communicate during care and stop if discomfort occurs.

General health information

Preparing for and caring after massage

Before care

  • Share medical conditions, medicines, bleeding risk, blood clots, infection or injury
  • Share pregnancy, sensitive skin, oil or product allergies and recent procedures
  • Postpone care with fever, acute illness, open wounds or inflamed skin in the area

After care

  • Change position and stand slowly, resting if you feel light-headed
  • Drink according to normal thirst; forced hydration is not needed to “detox”
  • Avoid immediate repeat massage or intense activity if the area is sore
  • Seek medical advice for severe pain, swelling, redness, heat, numbness or unusual symptoms

General health information

Limitations, risks and what to disclose

Massage is adjunctive care for relaxation or comfort. It should not replace or delay medical assessment of concerning symptoms.

  • Do not massage wounds, infection or inflamed skin
  • Recent injections, laser or surgery require prior guidance
  • Excess pressure may irritate or bruise
  • Lifting effects are not permanent or guaranteed

Before care begins, our team will explain the relevant product, device, procedure and precautions according to your individual assessment. Chest pain, breathing difficulty, sudden weakness, one-sided red swollen leg or other severe symptoms need medical assessment rather than massage.
